Description

The Ilux Pro Dental is a chairside DLP resin printer built around LUXCreo’s LEAP™ platform — Light-Enabled Additive Production — where hardware, resin, software and post-processing are tuned to run as one system rather than four things you assemble yourself. It is aimed at practices and labs that want to bring appliance production in-house and deliver the same day instead of waiting on an outside lab.

The reason this particular configuration exists is Digital Polishing™. On a conventional resin printer, a clear appliance comes off the build plate cloudy and has to be hand-polished before it is presentable. Digital Polishing produces clear appliances straight from the printer, with no manual polishing step — which is where most of the labour, and most of the inconsistency, normally sits. This unit ships with both cassettes: LEAP-C+ for Digital Polishing and LEAP-X for ultra-fast printing. They are disposable cassettes, so there is no tank to clean between resins — you swap, you keep printing.

LUXCreo states it was the first company to receive US FDA 510(k) Class II clearance for direct 3D-printed clear aligner production.
