VITROLUX PEEK PEEK — 93mm x 13MM, shade NATURAL
A high-performance PEEK (polyether ether ketone) disc for Cad/Cam milling. PEEK is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic with a modulus far closer to bone than metal, which is why it is used where rigidity without the stiffness of an alloy is the goal.
The case for PEEK is load behaviour and weight. A PEEK framework flexes more like bone than a cast cobalt-chrome one, it is markedly lighter in a full-arch case, it is radiolucent, and it will not provoke a metal sensitivity. Frameworks, telescopic secondary structures, implant bars and removable partial frameworks are the usual uses.
