Carbide cuts with defined blade edges rather than abrading, so it leaves a smoother, more controlled surface than diamond at the same speed. Blade count and geometry decide whether the instrument is built for bulk removal or for finishing.

- Run at the recommended speed with water spray. Carbide is brittle and chips if it is levered.
