Dynex Brillant separating discs are flexible diamond discs built on a doubly glass-fiber-reinforced body. Renfert designed the line for cutting, separating and trimming veneering porcelain, zirconium oxide and lithium disilicate, where the failure mode is not a slow cut but a cracked restoration.
the double fiberglass layer is what allows the disc to be thin and flexible without becoming fragile: it carries the stability, the diamond carries the cut. Renfert cites very low thermal impact and extremely low vibration as the two properties that prevent chipping and cracking in ceramic materials, and a high removal capacity for the safe separation of press sprues.
This kit is the Specials assortment rather than a thickness ladder. the three profiles it contains optimise for three different priorities, and Renfert supplies them together so a laboratory can decide from the bench which one belongs in its protocol.
