A hinged-lid plastic case for storing and returning a removable appliance — RETAINER, night guard, splint, denture or a crown-and-bridge case in transit.

The box is the last thing a patient sees and the first thing they lose. Using it well

Label it before the patient leaves; an unlabelled case in a lab pickup is a guessing game.
Check the hinge and snap on receipt — a case that will not stay closed is worse than no case.
Vented or solid matters: an appliance stored wet in a solid box grows biofilm.
