AAMI Level 2 Isolation gown in SMS Polypropylene, with knitted cuffs and ties at both neck and waist. Light and breathable enough to wear through a full list, rated for moderate fluid exposure.

Barrier level is the number that matters on an Isolation gown, and it is the one most listings leave out. AAMI Level 2 is the moderate-risk tier — suited to routine dentistry, prophylaxis and most restorative work. It is not the right choice for heavy irrigation or surgical procedures with sustained fluid contact; step up to Level 3 or 4 for those. SMS is a three-layer spunbond–meltblown–spunbond fabric — the meltblown middle layer is what does the filtering, and it is why SMS breathes better than a solid poly film at the same barrier rating.
