• Pre-fit the spreader to within 1–2 mm of working length before obturation.
• Confirm taper and size against your preparation.
• Discard visibly bent instruments; a distorted spreader concentrates stress on the root.

Clean and dry promptly after use, then sterilise following NORDENT's instructions for your steriliser. Residue left on stainless is what starts pitting, and pitting is what ends an instrument's working life early.
