PLACEMENT INSTRUMENTS move material precisely into a preparation without disturbing what is already there. The paddle carries, the plugger seats, and the shape decides how cleanly.
The titanium-nitride coated working end releases non-stick restorative materials more cleanly than bare stainless, so material stays in the preparation instead of lifting back out with the instrument.
