A working end that releases cleanly lets you sculpt without pulling the increment back, which is where most anatomy defects actually originate. The titanium-nitride coated working end releases non-stick restorative materials more cleanly than bare stainless, so material stays in the preparation instead of lifting back out with the instrument.
