A resin-matrix HYBRID CERAMIC disc for CAD/CAM milling — a CERAMIC network within a polymer matrix, sitting between a feldspathic CERAMIC and a composite in both handling and behaviour.
HYBRID CERAMIC mills fast, needs no sintering or firing, and finishes the same day. Its modulus is closer to dentine than a full CERAMIC, so it absorbs load rather than transmitting all of it, and it is kinder to the opposing dentition. It also repairs and adjusts with ordinary composite, which a sintered CERAMIC does not.
