Cyanoacrylate viscosity is the whole decision. Thin wicks into a hairline crack by capillary action; gel stays where you put it on a vertical joint. Using the wrong one wastes the repair.

Using it well

Activator cures instantly but reduces ultimate bond strength — use it where speed matters more.
Store cool and capped; opened cyanoacrylate has a short shelf life.
