KEYSTONE Green MOUNTED Silicon-Carbide STONES are the lab bench abrasive for grinding and contouring porcelain restorations, fired ceramics, and dental composite. Green silicon-carbide STONES cut hard, brittle materials at a controlled rate without glazing the surface — ideal for shaping porcelain margins, adjusting bake-on opaque, and trimming composite test pieces on the lab bench.
Color-coding is critical to using MOUNTED STONES correctly: each color is formulated for specific materials. Green is for porcelain and composite. (Pink is for precious-metal ceramics; blue is for chrome-cobalt finishing; white is for non-precious ceramics; red is for general purpose lab work.)
