Description

The ATTRITOR Dura Point is the pointed-tip member of the Dura family — engineered for the surfaces a wheel or disc cannot reach. Marginal ridges, central fossae, deep occlusal anatomy, and interproximal contact points all live in geometry that demands a point-form polisher.

  • Pointed-tip geometry for marginal ridges, fossae, occlusal anatomy, and interproximal contacts
  • Diamond-impregnated synthetic-rubber matrix — same family engineering as the Dura-Wheel
  • Holds tip geometry through usable life — even diamond distribution means the point stays a point
  • Color-coded by grit — Fine (Pink) and Super grades most commonly stocked
  • Indicated for monolithic ZIRCONIA, lithium DISILICATE, feldspathic porcelain, full-contour ceramics
Why You'll Love It
Polishes the geometry no wheel can reach — the marginal ridge, the central fossa, the contact point — without losing tip definition.
Same diamond-impregnated matrix as the rest of the Dura family — predictable cut character across the polishing system.
Color-coded for fast grit identification at the bench, under loupes.
Tip-form holds up across the full usable life of the point — even distribution of diamond particle means the tip renews itself.

If You Are Looking For…

Polishing the central fossa and small occlusal anatomy: Use the Fine grade Dura Point (CX4113) — pre-polishing geometry refinement.
Final shine in deep occlusal features: Use the Super-grade Dura Point — high-shine in the geometry a disc cannot reach.
Marginal-ridge refinement on a monolithic ZIRCONIA crown: Step down from the Dura-Wheel Medium to the Dura Point Fine to detail the ridge geometry.

Materials & Construction

Abrasive: refined synthetic diamond, evenly distributed through a synthetic rubber matrix.

Operating Speed & Use Guidance

Recommended operating range: 8,000–12,000 RPM in HP straight handpiece — lower than wheel/disc operations because the tip contact patch is smaller and the tip should not be forced into the substrate.

Light touch produces a better finish than heavy pressure. The pointed tip is a finishing tool, not a stock-removal tool.

Sterilization & Handling

  • Autoclavable to 134 °C
  • Pre-clean ceramic residue from the point under running water
