Overview
KEYSTONE Pink MOUNTED Silicon-Carbide STONES are formulated for finishing precious-metal ceramic alloys — gold, platinum, palladium, and high-noble combinations used in PFM (porcelain-fused-to-metal) restorations. The Pink bond is engineered to cut noble metals at a controlled rate without smearing the surface, leaving a finish that accepts opaque and porcelain bake-on cleanly.
Color-coding is critical: Pink STONES are specifically for precious-metal ceramic alloys. (Green is for porcelain and composite; blue is for chrome-cobalt; white is for non-precious ceramic alloys; red is for general purpose.) Using a green stone on a gold framework will glaze the metal and create surface contamination that opaque won't bond to — always match the color to the material.
- Pink silicon-carbide bond. Engineered for noble-metal ceramic alloys — cuts cleanly without smearing, glazing, or surface contamination.
- 3/32" HP shank, pre-MOUNTED. No separate mandrel required.
- Multiple head shapes. Taper, inverted cone, round, barrel for full coverage of PFM framework contouring.
