PIRANHA Diamonds are SS WHITE’s single-patient-use diamond line — supplied in bulk packs and intended to be discarded after the case rather than reprocessed.

This is a friction-grip shank for a high-speed air turbine handpiece, used intraorally. Check the shank against your handpiece before ordering — FG, RA and HP are not interchangeable.

Diamond instruments abrade rather than cut with blades — the working action is the bonded diamond grit, which is why grit selection controls both the removal rate and the surface you are left with.

SS WHITE has been making dental rotary instruments in the United States since 1844. Their carbide burs are built around a deliberately engineered blade structure — rake angle, flute depth and spiral angulation — matched to a proprietary carbide formulation, which is what produces a bur that keeps cutting instead of burnishing once it dulls.
