Extended coverage

360 TechSquad Protect

Extended protection for dental equipment, starting the day the manufacturer warranty ends. What it covers, what it does not, and what a claim costs.

What 360 TechSquad Protect is

A commercial service contract that covers eligible dental equipment for breakdowns after the original manufacturer warranty expires, with day-one protection for power surge, and Accidental Damage from Handling on selected devices.

It is for practices and labs that want predictable, contract-backed coverage on mission-critical equipment, rather than paying full price the day something fails.

Coverage terms

Coverage runs for 1, 2 or 3 years, beginning when the manufacturer warranty ends. If the manufacturer gives you one year, your contract adds one, two or three years on top of that.

The term is chosen once, at purchase. Plans cannot be stacked or extended later. You cannot buy two years now and add two more years afterwards to reach four. Decide the full term at the time of purchase.

Eligibility

  • Equipment must carry at least a 12-month manufacturer warranty.
  • Available in all 50 US states, including Alaska and Hawaii.
  • Outlying US territories, such as Puerto Rico, are excluded.

What is covered

  • Mechanical and electrical breakdown in normal use, parts and labour, after the OEM warranty ends.
  • Power surge, covered from the contract invoice date. A UL-listed surge protector is required and must be declared at the moment of purchase.
  • Accidental Damage from Handling on specific categories, when purchased.

Eligible equipment categories

3D printers, air compressors, autoclaves and sterilizers, delivery systems, wall-mounted intraoral X-rays, milling units, ovens and furnaces, patient chairs, lights, stools, ultrasonic cleaners, and dry and wet vacuum systems.

Breakdown, power surge and ADH together apply, when purchased, to camera systems, digital sensors, intraoral scanners and handheld X-rays.

Category notes. On autoclaves, the plastic patient-facing front cover is not covered. On delivery systems, air and water syringes and tips are excluded; add-ons such as intraoral cameras, handpieces and scalers need separate contracts.

What is not covered

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Consumables and non-operating parts: bulbs, filters, O-rings, water bottles, external tubing.
  • Software and data recovery.
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect function.
  • Laptops, computers and monitors, even when bundled with covered equipment.
  • Unauthorised repairs.
  • Environmental events such as flood or fire; loss and theft.
  • Incidental or consequential losses, including downtime and lost income.
  • Equipment with altered or removed serial numbers.
  • Failures caused by skipped maintenance, or installation and operation outside specification.

The Terms and Conditions carry the full list of exclusions and govern in every case.

How a claim works

  1. Coverage is bought for eligible equipment carrying an OEM warranty of 12 months or more. Your contract term and covered items appear on the invoice.
  2. Maintain the equipment to the manufacturer's guidelines. Proof of maintenance may be requested at claim time.
  3. If a covered breakdown occurs, the claim is logged and assessed.
  4. We repair or replace, at our discretion, with an item of equal or similar features, which may be new, rebuilt or refurbished. Accessories not originally included are not part of a replacement.
