Why is there a setup fee on top of the monthly rate?
exocad performs a one-time setup for every new monthly license — issuing the license,
preparing and certifying the dongle. Charging it once keeps the recurring monthly rate flat instead of
padding every month to cover it. Your specialist gives you the exact figure for your bundle before
anything is ordered.
When does billing actually start?
On activation day — the day we finish the install and exocad turns the license on. Your
first month is included in the initial payment. The recurring monthly charge starts from month two.
Waiting on the dongle costs you nothing.
Do I own the software?
No. A monthly subscription is a rental license: low entry cost, always current, active
only while you keep paying. If you want to own it, ask about the perpetual license — we sell that too,
and for a stable team it is usually cheaper over several years.
What are exocad AI credits, and how many do I get?
Credits are consumed by exocad's AI design services — AI crown design and related tools.
Every DentalCAD monthly bundle on this page includes 30 credits per month. If your volume needs more,
ask us about additional credits.
Can I move up to a bigger bundle later?
Yes. As your caseload grows you can move to a larger bundle and the monthly rate adjusts.
This is also the correct route when you need a module your current bundle does not include — see the
next question. Call us rather than doing it yourself so the license change is handled correctly with
exocad.
Can I add just one module to my monthly subscription?
No. Monthly subscriptions are sold in bundles only — there is no
per-module monthly rate, and a module cannot be attached to a smaller bundle for a small monthly
increase. If a module is bought on its own it is the complete module at full price, charged up
front for the license term — not a few dollars a month. That is exactly why moving up to the
bundle that already includes it is usually the cheaper decision, and you are done with it. Call

Can I cancel?
Yes, monthly. The one rule to understand first: exocad does not reactivate a cancelled
monthly license. Coming back means a new license and a new setup charge. If you are considering a short
pause, talk to us before you cancel — there may be a better option.
I am outside the United States. Can I buy this?
Not this license. These are US-region licenses verified by exocad through geolocation and
account country. If you are in Latin America or elsewhere, call us anyway — USDD ships internationally
and we will point you to the right licensing path for your region.
Do you support in Spanish?
Yes. Sales, install and ongoing support are available in English and Spanish. Ask for a
