Run a 4Y multilayer on a 3Y profile and you get the shrinkage you expected with translucency you did not. Most sintering complaints trace to the ramp, not the hardware. A furnace with one compromise curve across every material family will quietly cost you shade accuracy on every generation of zirconia you did not buy it for.
What actually fails

It does not stop the furnace. It reports a temperature the chamber is not holding, and every restoration in that load is affected. Confirm the calibration verification interval and whether you can perform it in-house.
Heating elements and thermocouples are scheduled replacements. Over three years they are a larger number than most buyers expect, and they are almost never on the original quote. Ask for the element set price and the interval, and put both in your comparison.
